Museum of Rural Ancient Craft
About
Twelve rooms, moving reconstructions (forge, workshops of the clog maker, cooper and joiner, village grocery store, rural interior...) and hundreds of objects: tools formerly used and products manufactured by the craftsmen of the Sologne and Val de Loire region, first agricultural machinery and instruments prior to mechanization.
A moving journey at the time of bread ovens, large laundry and embroidered hats.
Twelve rooms enable visitors to experience and learn about the trades and expertise of the past. With nostalgic workshop reconstructions (clog makers, coopers, blacksmiths, village grocer's shop...), the museum located at Tigy displays hundreds of tools used in days gone by, by the craftsmen of the region. A journey back in time to the period of the first technical mechanizations, bread ovens, the big spring clean and lace bonnets.
